Caye Caulker is a small island off the coast of Belize. I liked staying on this island. We stayed at a house near the airport and it had its own pool. The ground was just sand and there were palm trees everywhere. I saw lots of geckos, birds, and dogs.
Transportation on Caye Caulker is mostly golf carts, bicycles, and boats. I got around Caye Caulker on my bicycle and sometimes walked. My bicycle was purple and it had a basket. It was called the “hurricane”!

The day I got my hair braided we were at a restaurant and my Mom asked the waitress if there was a place to get our hair braided. She said “Hold on and I’ll check with someone I know.” She came back and she said she found someone to braid our hair. Her name was Digna and she met us later. It didn’t hurt at all and I love it! Especially the colorful beads.

Love your hair. Take care..

You’re the new Carmen Miranda. She was a Brazilian singer in the 50’s who always wore fruit hats. Glad that you had fun on Caye Caulker. Think you’ll be able to sneak into the Belizean Shores pool for old times sake?
I miss you,

I just re-read your Kaye Caulker blog and love it. I knew nothing about the island, but now I feel as if I’ve been there. Wonderful description and attention to small details. I also downloaded the pictures to my computer. You know how tech savvy I am, so I am proud of myself – and of you. Miss you but I’m glad you are having this adventure. Vovo
